Apply for a Grant
The Foundation provides an opportunity for regular grants, up to $25,000, twice a year. The online application deadlines are March 31st and August 31st.
The Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County utilizes online grant applications that require specific information and the addition of several indicated attachments. Your grant application must have all requested information in order to be considered. Please follow grant guidelines and application instructions carefully.
Grant applications benefiting children and youth need to consider and document in their proposal how the project builds their developmental assets. The Foundation is an active partner of a Floyd County movement to help children and youth succeed in life by increasing their developmental assets. A list of the developmental assets can be found above, and more information on this movement can be found on the Youth Count web site.
The Foundation Board can decide to consider a major grant any time they receive a concept they feel is worthwhile and funding is available. Major grants are usually between $50,000 and $1,000,000.
Any organization which can document its positive impact on Floyd County residents is eligible to apply as long as they are in good standing with the Foundation and have submitted all required paperwork-including reports and receipts on past grants received.
